Welcome to Year 2! Our iPad Committee will continue as part of the Tech Roundtable this year. We will continue to move forward with our research and investigate regarding the iPad as an educational tool; but, this year, we will put our research into practice.
The Old Bridge Township Board of Education has committed 100 percent to bringing these tablets to all students. A timetable of our rollout has been publicly announced and published. We have received media attention from NBC Nightly News, the Star Ledger, and the Suburban. We are proud of our committee and what it has accomplished!
Moving forward, this blog will continue to be a venue for sharing information. Thank you for the time you have invested in our students and in Old Bridge in bringing this project from concept to reality!
Below is the meeting summary from our Technology Roundtable combined with our iPad Investigation Committee which was held on April 19, 2012.

Perhaps we should have a "technology fair" to invite potential vendors to demonstrate their devices. In this way we would be able to compare and assess the appropriateness of the different notebooks.
ReplyDeleteI have a meeting with Mrs. Shreder, Purchasing Specialist, as well as representative from Staples (Staples has access to a wide-variety of suppliers) to provide us with a hands-on opportunity. Tentatively, I would say that date will be in April. Watch the blog for more info!
